PROBLEMS WITH GOODS AND SERVICES
Problems often arise with goods and services whether purchased home or abroad and on the Internet. These could fall under the heading of:
- Cars
- Computers
- Appliances (white goods)
- Mobile ‘phones
- Holidays and travel
- Clothing (shoes)
We can help you with disputes and advice on how to complain by telephone and in writing. Often we can phone and write on your behalf. When you come to see us it will help the adviser if you can:
Bring in any contract you have with any correspondence you have written on the matter. A receipt if you have bought goods would be useful.
Contracts to buy goods or services made in your home could carry additional rights of cancellation.
Try to recall what was said at the time of your purchase; what you expected from the goods and how you intended to use them. If you made the purchase using any form of credit we shall probably need to see details of the agreement.
If you have already made a complaint we would like to know the details and the outcome. If the case reached the County Court bring the correspondence with you together with the essential number shown on the court documents. We will need this if we enter into correspondence on your behalf.
