HOUSING PROBLEMS
- with your landlord
- with your mortgage
- threatened with eviction
HERE ARE A FEW TIPS ON HOW TO MAKE YOUR ADVICE SESSION RUN SMOOTHLY
bring a copy of your tenancy agreement (if you have one) together with any letters in your possession from the landlord, solicitors or county court.
write down a note of where you live, when you moved in, how much rent you pay and whether your landlord or his family lives in the same house you are occupying.
if you are in arrears with your rent or mortgage bring details of how much you should pay regularly, what you owe and what you have already paid.
if you are homeless now or likely to be in the near future then you may qualify under the rules for homeless people.
seek help if you experience domestic violence in your home. Emergency accommodation should be available to you.
let us know if anyone has threatened you, tried to evict you without a court order, made life difficult or discriminated against you.
